Crawford to head Brownwood EDC

Emily Crawford has been recommended by Brownwood City Manager Bobby Rountree to be hired as the executive director for the city’s Economic Development Corporation. She will begin her duties April 4, 2011.

Crawford is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Texas State University-San Marcos. She previously worked with the Texas Recreational Vehicle Association in Austin and the Brownwood Chamber of Commerce. Most recently, she has been the Brownwood Independent School District’s community relations coordinator.

“Emily’s background in marketing coupled with her strong work ethic makes her the right choice for this important position,” Rountree said. “She has a history of success in whatever she undertakes, and I do not expect that to change.”
