Whitman named DPS Assistant Director
Texas State University alumnus Hank Whitman has been named assistant director of the Department of Public Safety for the State of Texas.
In his new role, Whitman will oversee the Texas Rangers. He has served in many roles with the DPS since joining the force in 1990.
“I’m humbled to have been selected to lead this outstanding group of men and women. I will continue to strive to maintain the tradition of the Texas Rangers, the oldest law enforcement entity on the North American continent,” Whitman said.
