Terri Teinert receives 2011 Leading Light Award

Texas State University alumna Terri Teinert received the 2011 Leading Light Award, a national award for customer service.

The award, given by Professional Research Consultants, a national health care research company in Omaha, Neb., recognizes a person for their dedication to promoting excellence in customer service.

As the director of customer service at Valley Baptist Health System, Teinert oversees customer service at the system’s hospitals in Harlingen and Brownsville. She says,  “My role … is to help foster a culture of excellence.”

Teinert earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from Texas State and a master’s in social work from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio.
